You probably weren’t watching the Los Angeles Lakers take on the New Orleans Hornets at the Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night, so you may have missed Will Ferrell hitting a cheerleader in the face with a basketball.
The SNL alum was filming a new movie at the game and come halftime came onto the court where he was to shoot a half-court shot.
In a scene for “Daddy’s House”, Will Ferrell then “accidentally” clobbered the cheerleader in her face for the film instead of attempting the shot. The hilarity was captured by fans at the game.
Along with Will Ferrell, “Daddy’s House” will also star Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini and Hannibal Buress, according to IMDB.
Shooting will continue in the area for the next few days while the movie is expected to come out later this year. As for the game, those in attendance not only were able to see Will Ferrell hitting the cheerleader in the face but they were also able to see the New Orleans Pelicans come away with an easy victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, improving their record to 21-21. The loss dropped LA down to a sub par 12-31, enough reason for Kobe Bryant to throw a basketball in the face of his teammates.
