Thunder’s Russell Westbrook To Reporter: I Don’t Like You (Video)

For so long many athletes, no matter the sport, have been forced to hold their tongue when it comes to the media. Sure, there have been exceptions to the rule but more often than not, players subjected themselves to media members they didn’t care for. Apparently that is no longer happening though as Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder made obvious on Friday night.

After a tough victory, Westbrook was sitting in his locker answering reporters questions, clearly not enjoying himself. It only got worse when reporter Berry Trammel, who earlier this week took a shot at the Thunder suggesting they weren’t very good, began asking Russell Westbrook questions.

The short exchange went back and forth for a few questions before Trammel asked the former UCLA star if he was okay. He was not.

“Are you upset with something,” Trammel questioned.

“I just don’t like you,” Westbrook opined.

The rest of the questions – from Trammel and other media members – didn’t go very well either as the Thunder’s All-Star guard routinely gave “execution” as his answer to nearly every question posed his way before eventually leaving the locker room.

In one way, it’s hard to blame Westbrook considering he was unhappy that his team was called out by a reporter but on the other side of the coin, you do expect a bit more professionalism as well.
