Nick Young Says Blake Griffin Isn’t ‘Black Enough’ For Space Jam

Nick Young

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, it’s pretty common knowledge that LA Clippers star Blake Griffin loves him some Space Jam.

Not only has Griffin recited the script in an infamous online video, but he’s stared in Space Jam themed commercials with another set to hit the airwaves in the near future.

That has all lead to the suggestion that Blake Griffin could take on the role made famous by Michael Jordan alongside Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes, assuming the movie is ever made.

But Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young, who ironically is on the trade block, says that wouldn’t be a good role because Blake Griffin isn’t black enough. Yep, he actually said that.

Of course, when it comes to Nick Young, chnaces are he was just joking around but sometimes he tends to put his foot in his mouth. Case in point….

There’s no way Blake Griffin could take over for Michael Jordan in a “Space Jam” sequel — ’cause he’s “too beige” … so says Lakers star Nick Young.

Swaggy P was out in L.A. when we were talking about Griffin’s recent basketball shootwith Marvin the Martin — fueling rumors that B.G. could be the lead guy in the long rumored “Space Jam 2.”

I’m not sure if Blake Griffin would take offense to such from Swaggy P, but he’s probably wishing he would have kept his opinion to himself this morning as are the Lakers.
