In the time since the New England Patriots were accused of cheating by deflating footballs, many with ties to the NFL (current or former) have suggested it’s something that happens quite often and quarterbacks are usually involved in the process.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick somewhat insinuated such today when he stated Tom Brady would know more about the situation than he, a sentiment shared by former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current FOX broadcaster Troy Aikman who stated Brady was likely involved.
Troy Aikman on the Ticket: “It’s obvious that Tom Brady had something to do with this.

Troy Aikman wasn’t finished.
More Troy Aikma: “That doesn’t happen unless the quarterback wants that to happen, I can assure you of that.” — Clarence Hill (@clarencehilljr) January 22, 2015
It’s pretty bold to place the blame on Tom Brady, though when your own head coach is all but throwing you into the path of an oncoming bus….
The strange part here is that if it was Bill Belichick behind the Patriots’ Deflategate, he’d be thrown to the wolves. However if it was Tom Brady, the NFL’s golden boy doing such, it’s likely to be nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
