Tony Romo Wants Cowboys To Sign Dez Bryant, DeMarco Murray

Jerry Jones and Tony Romo

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo knows how much easier life becomes with both Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray on the roster. That’s why he’s pressing owner/GM Jerry Jones to bring back both free agents.

Of course, this isn’t exactly shocking news as there isn’t a Cowboys player or fan who wouldn’t want two of the best players at their position back next season, though financially keeping both is a huge commitment.

Nobody knows if Jones and the Dallas Cowboys can afford such considering their already tight salary cap situation, but Tony Romo made it clear during his appearance on KESN-FM – he wants Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray back next season.

“I think everybody understands how great these guys are and how lucky we are to have them,” Romo said, via the Dallas Morning News. “Any time you get talented guys where you can put more than two on one side of the ball, you get three, four, if you’re lucky enough to ever get five, it’s one of those things where if you can put a group like that together you can make a run and be very difficult for teams to deal with for years. I think that’s what you’re trying to build ultimately is to have sustained success. We have an opportunity to have that.”

Can’t argue with Romo and it’s doubtful Jones would either, but where’s the money going to come from? Somebody is going to feel the impact if the Dallas Cowboys are able to re-sign both Bryant and Murray.
