Tony Romo Joins Twitter And Is Trolled Hard

Tony Romo

Look, I’m all for athletes signing up for social media accounts but there are some players who are probably best served staying away from sites like Twitter.

Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys would probably be one of those talents considering he’s a lightning rod for controversy, which is why he took quite a shellacking when he signed up for Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

The end result was a mass trolling by Twitter users which probably had Tony Romo second guessing his decision.

That was just an extremely small sample size of looking at Tony Romo’s mentions soon after he signed up for the service, though, perhaps like many NFL players he’s letting somebody else handle the duties of social media.

Doing so would probably be the smart decision considering his mentions are going to be nothing but insults, especially after he and the Dallas Cowboys have a bad game.

We’ve seen what type of trash gets thrown at other players like Colin Kaepernick, so it should be interesting to see if Tony Romo keeps his account into the football season or if he takes some time off.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
