Seattle Seahawks GM Says He’s Big Marshawn Lynch Fan

For much of the season, questions loomed about Marshawn Lynch‘s return to the Seattle Seahawks after the 2014 season concluded. The team wouldn’t verbally commit to Lynch, who seemed as equally unsure of his franchise as they were of him.

But over the past few weeks, as Marshawn Lynch has looked like an MVP talent, both sides have been a bit more open about a return. That includes general manager John Schneider who says he is a big fan of the running back.

“No. I kind of love his act.”

Will that be enough to keep him in a Seattle Seahawks uniform next season though? That remains to be seen, though considering he’s under contract it currently doesn’t sound as if Lynch will be leaving the Pacific Northwest.

“I mean, he’s under contract next year. He’s a warrior. Goes out there every weekend and lays it on the line. I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a better running back in the National Football League.”

While most running backs begin to break down at Lynch’s age (even the most talented of runners), the former Cal product is a different breed and has shown zero signs of such. He has spoken about retirement, though that could simply be leverage for contractual issues moving forward.
