Seattle Butcher Still Selling ‘Beast Mode’ Skittles Sausage

Marshawn Lynch Skittles

It’s been a year since we were first introduced to the rather strange “Beast Mode” sausage which includes Skittles candy. Yet, it’s still a rather hot selling item and given the success of the Seattle Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch, Blue Max Meats owners Tommy Marshall and Evan Greco are still crafting the trendy confection.

The guys say they originally did it just to get there name out to the masses, but it’s turned into something far greater.

“We originally did it to put our name on the map, but we’ve kind of become a destination,” Marshall said. “Not a day goes by where we don’t sell it.”

According to ESPN, the guys have reportedly went through over 1,000 pounds of Skittles candy though sadly Marshawn Lynch, who is addicted to the fruit flavored chew, has not been in to try one.

So how does the Skittles sausage taste? Well, considering the sales are relatively high, apparently quite good. According to Marshall and Greco, the Skittles cook down in the sausage and mix in well with the spices. In short, you won’t be biting into a sausage only to have some massive burst of cherry flavor from a hard Skittle explode in your mouth.

I’m guessing Lynch won’t be fined for grabbing that sausage though, unlike this one.
