With Super Bowl media day set to take place, many are wondering how Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will react. There’s good reason behind that considering the NFL has already threatened the former Cal star if he decides to invoke any of his usual antics. But Marshawn Lynch has already been working the podium as he took part in a Skittle press conference.
Yes, the Seattle Seahawks running back who says he uses the fruity candy as “medicine” sat down behind a Skittles backdrop and with a bowl full of candy next to him, decided to take questions.
It was all a publicity ploy (and a wonderful one at that), but dammit it was good.
The funniest thing? Even in what proved to be an extended commercial, Marshawn Lynch still didn’t talk much, though seemingly spoke more than he would in a normal interview. Regardless, Skittles wasn’t likely concerned with how little or how much Lynch talked as the video itself was enough to garner heavy interest.
Also, how can you not love any press conference in which an NFL player decides to speak about cat videos? I’m just waiting for somebody to ask Russell Wilson or Tom Brady about their favorite cats at Super Bowl media day.
