Seattle Seahawks don’t know if Marshawn Lynch will retire.
The Seattle Seahawks apparently went back-and-forth this season regarding a potential re-signing of Marshawn Lynch, though after the running back dominated in the latter half of the season the answer was clear – they wanted Lynch back.
Seattle offered their franchise running back a new contract after the Super Bowl, but he has yet to respond and the Seahawks are not sure if Marshawn Lynch wants to retire or continue playing football.
Schneider acknowledges that if Marshawn Lynch is back in 2015, he won’t be playing at current number.

Lynch probably wasn’t overly happy with the rumors coming out of Seattle, especially early in the year and that’s likely where the rumors of a Marshawn Lynch retirement began.
Still, at 29-years-old, there is plenty of football left to play for Lynch, even if he doesn’t want to do so with the Seattle Seahawks so it’s difficult to see him leaving money on the table and walking away.
If for some reason the Seattle Seahawks decide to oddly part ways with Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin and Christine Michael would be in line for the starting job though much has to fall in line before that.
For now, it seems as if it’s Lynch being Lynch and making his franchise wait on him.
