Seattle Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman has quite the dilemma on his hands – miss the Super Bowl on Sunday against the New England Patriots or witness the birth of his child? Its a predicament he could be faced with in the coming days as his girlfriend, Ashley Moss, is set to give birth to their child any day which could cause one hell of a scheduling problem.
Asked what he would do if Moss goes into labor come Super Bowl Sunday, Richard Sherman really didn’t give an answer, suggesting we’ll find out when the time comes.
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there,” he told reporters yesterday. “We’re not thinking about the possibility.”
While you may not be thinking about it, just about everybody else is.
Sherman obviously isn’t going to leave the game if Moss was to give birth come Sunday afternoon, so it’s likely the only reason Richard Sherman would entertain leaving is if Ashley Moss was to have their baby on Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The chances of that time window being the birthing time are probably pretty low, though given she’s due any day, you never know.
I’m glad I’m not Richard Sherman though, because that’s one hell of a choice.
