Report: Dallas Cowboys Want Adrian Peterson Trade

Adrian Peterson

Assuming the Dallas Cowboys can get Adrian Peterson at a fair price, Jerry Jones and company want to make a deal.

That’s the word from Jane McManus who says the Dallas Cowboys want an Adrian Peterson trade for the right price.

The only problem? What’s the right price? The Minnesota Vikings have already come out and stated they’re not interested in trading their running back, though that seems to be more of an attempt to gain leverage after the former Pro Bowl talent all but requested a trade through his agent.

Dallas of course lost DeMarco Murray in free agency (a player Jones says the team is better off without, oddly enough) though did sign Darren McFadden to replace him. Of course, the former Oakland Raiders rusher is a human splint and is almost always injured which is why the addition of Adrian Peterson would make plenty of sense.

The Arizona Cardinals have also expressed interest in an Adrian Peterson trade so the Dallas Cowboys won’t be alone in their pursuit of the embattled football star.

If the Vikings do make him available though, you have to think the Cowboys are near the top of the suitor list.
