Philip Rivers Unsure Of San Diego Chargers Future

Philip Rivers

San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers knows one thing – he’s signed through this season and plans to fufill his contractual obligations. After that though, the signal caller admits things get a little cloudy.

Nobody really knows what’s going to happen with the Chargers potential relocation. Will they stay in sunny San Diego? Will they move to Carson? Possibly Los Angeles? More than that, what about Philip Rivers’ health? The quarterback, despite playing very well, dealt with a multitude of injuries last season and played when he should have been sidelined.

All that has crept into the back of Rivers’ mind who seems unsure of his football future.

“What I can control and all I know as of today, I am signed up for one more year,” he said. “I guess things could change, but with all the uncertainty in many aspects, I don’t see it changing before camp gets here, and when camp gets here I’m even more certain to play it out.”

The Pro Bowl talented continued.

“What we’ve established here with my growing family is hard to recreate,” he said. “It’s hard to up and recreate that. I know that moves are part of life. But that certainly is fair to say that (not being sold on moving to Los Angeles) is part of it. The good thing is I’m not under contract in a year where we’d potentially be in Los Angeles.”

For now it appears to be a wait and see approach for Philip Rivers, but it sounds like this could potentially be his last season as a member of the Bolts.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
