Philadelphia Eagles Traded LeSean McCoy In Less Than A Half Hour

LeSean McCoy

When a professional sports franchise trades any player, it usually takes some time. You’d assume that to take even longer when a franchise player like LeSean McCoy was one of the names involved, but apparently not.

Previously we’ve heard GM’s (no matter the sport) suggest that sometimes trades can take months, but when the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles engaged in trade talks revolving around the running back the deal was done in less than a half hour.

Yep – from first call to the call to the league, the Philadelphia Eagles traded LeSean McCoy in 30 minutes.

That sounds absolutly crazy knowing how difficult trades are. From just finding the pieces to make the trade work to salary cap impact, it seems as if the Eagles had been scouting the idea of trading LeSean McCoy for quite some time and had their finger on the trigger regarding such a deal.

They were clearly ready to make a move which is pretty shocking considering nobody would have expected such coming into the NFL’s offseason.

Hopefully we’ll get to see McCoy play the Eagles in the somewhat near future as I’m sure there’s a bit of animosity on his part.
