Philadelphia Eagles Have Serious Interest In Frank Gore

Frank Gore

The San Francisco 49ers recently came out and suggested they’re going to do what they can to bring Frank Gore back. But will the former Miami star be heading for greener pastures? If the Philadelphia Eagles have their way, he will, as it’s being reported Chip Kelly and company have strong interest in the Pro Bowl running back.

Just days after trading LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills, the Eagles have a vacancy in their backfield and apparently want Frank Gore to handle the ‘power’ back duties in their offense.

A person with knowledge of the situation, who requested anonymity, told NJ Advance Media that the Eagles have expressed interest in free-agent running back Frank Gore.

That person said a deal with the San Francisco 49ers star could get done as early as Tuesday, the first day free agents can sign with another team.

Gore is said to be seeking $4 million dollars per season, a figure which was just secured by a much younger Mark Ingram with the New Orleans Saints. Given that, it seems a little unlikely that Frank Gore will be able to make that kind of bank. Still, it appears as if the Philadelphia Eagles’ interest in the San Francisco 49ers all-time leading rusher is very serious.
