Earlier this week the Wells Report on Deflategate was released, all but accusing the New England Patriots and Tom Brady of cheating.
Little was heard from the Pats, initially, but now they’ve struck back and done so with scientific evidence. Well, sort of.
In the Wells Report, it was suggested Patriots locker room staffer Jim McNall went to the bathroom and deflated the footballs while in the stall. But the Patriots say that’s not possible because he was only in the bathroom for about 100 seconds.
“The report does not address whether one minute and 40 (seconds) is consistent with the time that it takes a gentleman to enter a bathroom, relieve himself, wash his hands, and leave. In fact, it is.”
I’m sorry – even if this was indeed a fact – the idea of the New England Patriots running with it in an attempt to defend themselves in Deflategate (legit or not) is pretty dang funny. Also, how does McNall feel having his bathroom habits blasted all over the world for everybody to see?
So the just of this all? The Pats don’t believe Jim McNall was taking a ‘dump’ as hinted in the Wells Report, but rather just taking a wizz and relieving himself.
All this needs is the Wizinator to reemerge and we’ll have went full circle, NFL.
