Patriots Accused Of Cheating With TV In Stadium Parking Lot

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots get a lot of flack for cheating, even when they don’t do it. Sure, when you’re accused and found guilty of something in the past, you’ll always be haunted by allegations in the future. Though one such suggestion might have taken the cake for being extremely over the top.

In a rather lengthy piece, Sports Illustrated’s Michael Rosenberg broke down all of the ways the New England Patriots attempt to get one up on their opponent which allegedly includes cheating by using a “enormous” television near the Gillette Stadium parking lot which only the Patriots can see.

Officially, this allows people in the parking lot to watch TV. Is it a coincidence that you can see that TV from the Patriots’ sideline, but not from the opposing sideline, making it easier for the Patriots to watch replays and decide whether to throw the challenge flag?

It actually sounds like something Bill Belichick would craft up, but even that sounds a bit excessive for Tom Brady‘s Pats.

Michael Hurley of CBS broke down Rosenberg’s piece and all but suggested the idea of having a parking lot television wasn’t possible. He also stated that the video is not clear, is much further away than Rosenberg hints and there’s no way the Patriots would have time to watch the video and throw a challenge flag since it’s the regular television feed.

So who’s argument are you buying? Are the New England Patriots cheating by using a television in the stadium parking lot? Or is it just another case of the Pats being accused of nothing?
