NFL Rumors: Ray Rice To Sign With New Football Team?

Ray Rice

After Ray Rice was left out in the cold by pretty much every football organization in the NFL last season, it appeared as if the career of the former running back was over. I mean, if nobody wanted to touch him with a ten-foot pole at that point, they certainly wouldn’t want to do it a year removed from the game, right?

Wrong. At least according to TMZ who says Ray Rice is drawing interest from a handful of NFL teams and could sign with a new football organization in the near future.

Rice hasn’t played a down in the league since KO’ing his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City casino last year … but now, he’s a free agent looking for a home — and we’re told the feedback is very positive.

Sources tell us Rice’s agents have engaged with multiple teams recently — and we’re told there are serious discussions among team decision-makers about the possibility of bringing him on board.

Of course, the news comes to TMZ via Ray Rice’s agent, so you can’t help but believe it’s a possible attempt to garner interest in his client. Still, there were some quiet whispers that a few teams were intrigued with the idea of signing Ray Rice come the end of the past season, though none actually went through with such and all denied the idea.
