When the Philadelphia Eagles worked out Tim Tebow a few weeks back, head coach Chip Kelly suggested the team was just doing their due diligence.
Of course, anybody who knows Kelly understood there was plenty more to that.
Now it’s been confirmed as the Philadelphia Eagles signed Tim Tebow to an NFL contract on Sunday evening.

It’s not exactly the most earth shattering news considering the Eagles had already shown interest in the former college football star, but the landing spot is a bit interesting.
For all of his issues, Tim Tebow did play effective football as a member of the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots. Perhaps he wasn’t the most ideal quarterback, but, he was able to put points on the board.
Now Chip Kelly is likely salivating at the idea of potentially helping Tim Tebow grow into an NFL quarterback and work his magic.
One would assume the addition of Tim Tebow could put an end to the long-rumored pursuit of Marcus Mariota, especially now that the San Diego Chargers are allegedly zeroing in on the Oregon signal caller.
