NFL Rumors: Browns Could Trade Johnny Manziel To Cowboys?

Johnny Manziel

As Johnny Manziel slipped in the 2014 NFL Draft, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones couldn’t help but bite his nails. Could the most exciting college football player make his way to America’s Team? It was certainly a scenario Jones could see unfolding, but the owner was talked out of drafting the quarterback by his son and the rest of the front office as the team had bigger pressing needs than finding Tony Romo‘s eventual replacement.

Now a season later, Manziel looks like a bust and has already been to rehab. The Cleveland Browns are reportedly looking for another quarterback and could be ready to ship Johnny Manziel out if the price is right.

Could the Dallas Cowboys be interested in a Johnny Manziel trade? It seems plausible, at least according to Cleveland.com who ponders if Jerry Jones would still be interested in the signal caller.

As for Manziel, they’ll see what happens when he gets out of rehab soon. At this point, I don’t think they can get much in a trade. Maybe Jerry Jones is still interested.

At this point, you have to think the Browns would take fifty cents on the dollar for a Johnny Manziel trade, so if the Dallas Cowboys wanted to strike they probably won’t find a better time or a lower price tag.
