NFL Rumors: Jaguars Want To Sign Julius Thomas

Julius Thomas

Money is apparently no object for the Jacksonville Jaguars considering they’re hopeful candidates to build a three tiered practice facility. Given that, Shad Khan and company have money overflowing from their pockets and appear willing to give it to one of the NFL’s biggest free agent names out there.

Yes, Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas is said to be a target of the Jags and the Denver Post expects Jacksonville to make an all-out push to sign the Pro Bowl talent.

Breaking down the current Broncos free agents, Mike Klis believes Thomas is gone and it’s likely the Jaguars will be the most interested in Julius Thomas.

Probably gone. Jacksonville will be among the most aggressive pursuers.

The biggest issue here for Jags fans will be how Julius Thomas plays without Peyton Manning as his quarterback. Is he simply a product of the system? Or is Thomas a legit top tight end in the NFL even without Manning and will thrive under Blake Bortles?

It’s a question nobody really has an answer to currently and it’s going to cost an NFL franchise a lot of money to figure it out.

No doubt it’s a risk, but apparently one the Jacksonville Jaguars seem interested in taking.
