NFL Rumors: Adrian Peterson Requests Trade From Vikings?

Adrian Peterson

Embattled running back Adrian Peterson has suggested he’s not exactly happy with his Minnesota Vikings situation. However, nobody really knows how the Vikings feel. Do they want to keep their franchise player? Or is it time to cut ties?

Well, according to the father of Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Larry Fitzgerald Sr. says the Minnesota Vikings are quietly trying to trade Adrian Peterson after he requested to be moved.

Rumors of such has been suggested for a few weeks now, though Fitzgerald Sr. has the most pull of those who’ve stated such and given his son’s close ties to the running back it’s a report that should be taken seriously.

It appears the only way Adrian Peterson will be traded is if the running back agrees to restructure his contract, but then again, if he does that you’d think the Minnesota Vikings would like him back. Simply put, he’s just too expensive to trade for at his current price and too costly for the Vikings to keep. At a much reduced figure, he’s a solid addition.

Ironically enough, the Arizona Cardinals, Larry Fitzgerald’s team, have expressed trade interest in Adrian Peterson.
