While everybody saw Doug Baldwin haul in an impressive touchdown catch for the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl, few (outside of those in attendance) saw the celebration which followed.
That’s because NBC decided to cut away once they saw Baldwin gesture as if he was pulling down his pants, leading many to believe he was paying homage to Randy Moss who famously mooned Green Bay Packers fans.
But that wasn’t what Doug Baldwin was doing – in fact – he was pulling down his pants to poop out a football, which the NFL didn’t take too kindly towards and have fined the Seahawks receiver a cool $11,000 bucks for the gesture.

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that Baldwin’s going to be out $11,025 for what the league deemed an obscene gesture. Baldwin, who was also penalized 15 yards for his scatological celebration, said Tuesday that he had no regrets.
Baldwin, for what it’s worth, seemed to indicate his poop inspired celebration was just a spur of the moment thing and there was nothing behind it, though some believe it was a shot towards a particular big name sports writer who Baldwin has an issue with.
Whatever the case, it was a $11,000 dollar poor decision.
