Michael Crabtree Takes Shot At Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick

For a few seasons, Colin Kaepernick and Michael Crabtree were teammates on the San Francisco 49ers.

Apparently, there’s no love lost between the two – at least not for Crabtree – who threw his former quarterback under the bus.

Michael Crabtree, who now plays across the Bay for the Oakland Raiders – had very little to say when asked about his former signal caller, though did suggest that he’s happy he has a quarterback who can get him the ball with Derek Carr.

“I needed new scenery. It wasn’t for me,” Crabtree told the San Francisco Chronicle. “I needed a quarterback that can deliver the ball, and that was hungry like I was.

“With all the stuff going on on the other side, it just feels so good to be on this side,” Crabtree said. “Just play ball and don’t worry about too much. Just play ball.”

Colin Kaepernick of course spent much of the offseason attempting to improve his somewhat spotty accuracy, so perhaps for Crabtree’s sake the former Nevada product will be improved on the football field this season.

Unfortunately for Crabtree, the passes won’t be directed to him, though it doesn’t sound like he minds very much.
