Miami Dolphins Sign Ndamukong Suh To $114 Million Dollar Contract

Ndamukong Suh

Assuming there are no oddities that occur in the coming days, the Miami Dolphins will have made the biggest splash in NFL free agency as they’re set to sign Ndamukong Suh to a $114 million dollar contract.

Suh, who had drawn interest from a variety of teams including the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, was set to cash in one of the biggest (if not the biggest) non quarterback contracts in NFL  history and that’s exactly what he did.

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Suh will be guaranteed $60 million of that $114 million dollar contract.

It’s a hell of a price to pay for any player, let alone Ndamukong Suh, who while talented, has proven to be a bit of a hot head on the field.

The loss will be a tough pill to swallow for the Detroit Lions, who will now be without the Pro Bowl talent on defense, though there are a lot of ways to spend $114 million dollars and throwing all your eggs in one basket is a risky proposition.

It’s one the Miami Dolphins felt they needed to make though as Ndamukong Suh looks to be headed to South Beach.

Update: It’s a six-year contract and Suh will be given that $60 million during the first three years.
