By now you’ve probably heard all about Marshawn Lynch‘s gold cleats which he planned to wear in the NFC Championship between his Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers. Originally Lynch was going to wear the $1,000 dollar, custom kicks come the Super Bowl but loved them so much he opted for the NFC title game.
That is until the NFL got word about Marshawn Lynch’s plans and called the Seattle Seahawks, informing them they would eject the running back from the game if he was to appear with the non-league sanctioned cleats.
Unreal story from @JayGlazer just now: NFL threatening to eject Marshawn Lynch if he wears gold cleats. Team still unsure if he’ll comply.

The NFL has always been strict about what players wear on the field and even have “uniform police” on the field before every game, so it’s not as if Lynch could get away with wearing the cleats and it be a matter of too little too late on the NFL’s part.
Clearly they don’t want the running back wearing anything other than cleats approved by the league and are willing to go as far as an ejection to stop it.
As usual, it’s extremely over the top on the part of the No Fun League.
