Is it Johnny Manziel time for the Cleveland Browns? It appears that way after starting quarterback Josh McCown was obliterated on a nasty hit against the New York Jets.
With what looked to be an open lane for a touchdown, Josh McCown busted out of the pocket and looked to be ready to score the Browns first touchdown of the season. But that’s when the clear path collapsed and a collection of Jets defensive players caved in on McCown.
He attempted to avoid the hit, but ended up helicoptering into the end zone….without the football.
The end result was a fumble and being removed from the game with concussion like symptoms.
Josh McCown saw a lane.
