Jadeveon Clowney To Hospital After He Was Bit By Teammate’s Dog

Jadeveon Clowney

When Jadeveon Clowney was drafted by the Houston Texans out of South Carolina, it looked as if he was going to be one of the greatest defensive NFL players to ever set foot on a football field.

That could still be the case, but the defensive end had a rough rookie season that included a rash of nasty injuries. Now he has another, this time courtesy of Houston Texans teammate D.J. Swearinger. Actually, it’s courtesy of Swearinger’s pit bull as Jadeveon Cloweny was taken to the hospital after being bitten by the dog.

Per CBS Houston:

SportsRadio 610 has learned that Clowney was bitten by teammate D.J. Swearinger’s pit bull last week. Police records obtained describe a bite to Clowney’s right arm that sent him to a Pearland emergency room. The incident occurred in the early morning of March 4th.

Swearinger’s dog broke the skin on the right arm of Clowney with the bite according to the report.

Yikes. Thankfully it appears as if Jadeveon Clowney will be okay. Why exactly the pit bull decided to bite the former college star is unknown, though, let’s just hope it was a one-time thing and the dog will be on better behavior moving forward.
