J.J. Watt Destroying High School Opponents Is Awesome (Video)

JJ Watt

Sure, J.J. Watt can destroy his NFL opposition with relative ease, but what about during his high school days? The Houston Texans defensive end wasn’t exactly thought to be the second coming during his prep, but watching this video of J.J. Watt hunting down opposing quarterbacks as a teen might make you wonder what talent evaluators saw.

From breaking through the offensive line and pounding the signal caller to stuffing the running back, J.J. Watt was clearly a force during his high school playing days and things haven’t changed much in the days since for the Pro Bowl talent and MVP candidate.

Seriously, just watch Watt unloading on his victims.

I can feel the bruised and battered feelings just from watching that. I certainly don’t remember anybody hitting that hard, with that much authority and that big of a motor during my high school days.

Given that, I’m pretty happy J.J. Watt wasn’t lined up on the other side of the field.

Despite the powerful hits and line bursts, Watt was only recognized as a two-star recruit (crazy, right) in a state that didn’t exactly have a ton of talent.

Needless to say, there were a handful of talent evaluators that whiffed on that one pretty bad.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
