Is Adrian Peterson Trying To Force Trade To Dallas Cowboys?

Adrian Peterson

The Minnesota Vikings are saying all the right things when it comes to Adrian Peterson, but the running back isn’t feeling the mutual love.

So while the Vikings say they want Peterson back, the disgruntled star (via his agent) says he wants out. This isn’t the first we’ve heard of such, but it’s the first we’ve heard from somebody in AP’s camp.

The timing couldn’t be better for the Dallas Cowboys either, who after losing DeMarco Murray in free agency are a Darren McFadden injury away from being very limited in the backfield.

It’s no secret that Jerry Jones lusts over Adrian Peterson and the Pro Bowl running back, a Texas native, wouldn’t mind a return to home. So is Adrian Peterson trying to force a trade to the Dallas Cowboys? It certainly seems plausible if you connect the dots because he wants out of Minnesota.

Adrian Peterson’s agent spent an hour holding court Monday in the lobby of the swanky hotel where NFL owners are gathered this week, but Ben Dogra would allow just one comment for the record.

“We want out of Minnesota,” Dogra told USA TODAY Sports.

Granted, it takes two to tango and the Vikings haven’t show much desire to trade Adrian Peterson (at least publicly) and they aren’t going to cater to AP’s desires if they do decide to move their former franchise back, but you have to think the Cowboys would be one of the potential landing spots regardless.
