Giants’ Odell Beckham Destroyed NFL With Torn Hamstrings

Odell Beckham

When the New York Giants drafted wide receiver Odell Beckham, they obviously hoped they had secured themselves an elite wide receiver. What they didn’t expect was the LSU standout to put up Pro Bowl worthy numbers in nearly a half season of action.

But that’s exactly what Odell Beckham did, but making it even more impressive is that he did so on two bum hamstrings.

Beckham, who in 12 games put up 1305 yards and 12 touchdowns admitted after the NFL’s Pro Bowl that his two torn hamstrings suffered early in the year never fully healed.

“They healed up enough to where I could play with them, but they were never truly good and I’m still just working on them and trying to get ready.”

Not only is that impressive, you have to be fearful if you’re an opposing NFL defense considering just about anybody who went up against Beckham was torched while the guy was not fully healthy.

As for Odell Beckham’s prognosis, he says he expects his hamstrings to be much more cooperative next season as he takes some time off to rest during the offseason.

“I should be good by training camp,” Beckham said. “The plan is to play at full strength next season, and I definitely hope to do it. I’m just looking forward to getting healthy.”

Be on alert, opposing defensive backs.
