Frank Gore Takes Shot At Colin Kaepernick

Frank Gore

There’s no doubt that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is a different breed. That’s something running back Frank Gore is quickly learning, as he noted to members of the press earlier this week.

In the process though, Gore called out former San Francisco 49ers teammate and quarterback Colin Kaepernick, even though he says he didn’t mean to.

Gore was attempting to praise Andrew Luck, suggesting he had never been around that type of a quarterback – a shot clearly aimed at Colin Kaepernick, who for all of his talents, tends to be a little bit of a space cadet on the football field at times.

“I’m not knocking my other quarterbacks, I respect them other guys, but being around this guy a couple months, he’s a different breed. He’s smart. He makes me feel young. He runs the huddle. I never had that.”

In all honesty, there’s no much there that isn’t true. Simply put, Andrew Luck is an absurdly smart quarterback who can do things most can’t at the position. And again, talented as he is, Colin Kaepernick does at times make some rather questionable decisions and how shown a tendency to struggle with some pre-play basics.

Granted, you could potentially blame the San Francisco 49ers coaching staff for some of those issues as well, but it doesn’t really change Frank Gore’s point either.
