When it rains, it pours and for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, it must feel like a typhoon.
The signal caller has already been suspended four games by the NFL for ‘Deflategate’ and now a former player says he witnessed Brady and the Pats cheating before.
According to A.J. Feely, who spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, San Diego Charger, Miami Dolphins and more says Tom Brady and the Patriots previously played with worn balls, when NFL rules mandated they play with the new, provided footballs.
“Prior to Tommy and Peyton Manning going to the league and saying, ‘Let us doctor our balls’ we used to all play with the same balls,” Feeley said. “Somehow this beat-up ball from the ball boy was getting thrown in on offense for New England, yet when we were on offense this orange brand new ball was getting thrown in.”
Now you’re probably wondering if A.J. Feely had a problem with this, why didn’t he speak up until now? It’s a fair question, but would anybody have actually believed him if he did before the Deflategate debacle? Unlikely.
Either way, it’s a somewhat minor offense but because it’s Tom Brady, it’s being blow out of the water.
