Eagles Want To Trade Matt Barkley To Sign Tim Tebow?

Tim Tebow

We know the Philadelphia Eagles already worked out Tim Tebow, but the former NFL quarterback left without a contract. That’s likely because the Eagles currently employ Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez and Mark Barkley and have no room for a fourth signal caller.

But what happens if they’re able to rid themselves of their third string quarterback? Might Chip Kelly and company take a chance and sign Tim Tebow? That’s the thought process, according to Dianna Marie Russini who says there is about an 80 percent chance Tebow will be signed if the Eagles can find a way to trade Matt Barkley.

Assuming this is to happen (and that’s a pretty large assumption), there has to be a point when Chip Kelly comes out and screams “GOTCHA”, right?! I mean, this is all nothing more than an epic troll job on Kelly’s part after ridding his Eagles of Nick Foles, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy.

At least, that’s probably how a lot of Philadelphia fans are feeling, despite some worthwhile additions like DeMarco Murray.

But no worries – Saint Tebow could be on the horizon.
