The Philadelphia Eagles already have three quarterback’s on their roster, though, it’s not known how many will be sticking around. Backup Mark Sanchez seems like a lock to stay, but both Sam Bradford and Matt Barkley could be traded.
If the latter happens, namely Barkley, there are rumors suggesting the Philadelphia Eagles could sign Tim Tebow who the team brought in for a workout a week ago.
Head coach Chip Kelly downplayed such, suggesting the team was just doing their homework on Tebow and that he’s one of many players to be worked out.
“We bring in a lot of players for private workouts, it’s just he’s the one that everyone keeps talking about,” Kelly said. “We brought in Terrelle Pryor for a workout and Thad Lewis in for a workout. When players are available for you to work them out it’s the same thing of going to the Veteran Combine or going to the Super Regional Combine.”
Perhaps, but they had to know what they were doing when they were bringing in Tim Tebow as anything involving the former NFL quarterback is going to result in a media circus.
You have to think Chip Kelly is salivating at the idea of turning the once successful college signal caller into an NFL caliber quarterback.
