Dez Bryant Threatens Dallas Cowboys Over Contract

Dez Bryant

If Dez Bryant doesn’t get the contract he’s looking for by Wednesday, he’s not only going to sit out training camp but he’s ready to miss games.

That’s the word from Dez Bryant himself who allegedly personally called Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones to inform him that he’s ready to sit out, long as need be.

It was a clear threat and one the Dallas Cowboys probably need to start taking seriously.

I’m not completely sure just how true the part is about Dez Bryant actually calling himself (was it Dez or his agent), but regardless, it’s certainly drawing a line in the sand.

Ironically enough, a few days ago it was reported that the two sides were progressing on a contract, though that could have been leaked by the Dallas Cowboys. Either way, it’s safe to say that Dez Bryant wants his contract and he wants it now.

Depending on how close the two sides actually were, perhaps they’ll be able to find a middle ground in the coming days. But if not, this sounds like it could drag out for the long haul.

Meanwhile, Tony Romo‘s just sitting at home twiddling his thumbs hoping his star wide receiver doesn’t miss any regular season games.
