DeMarco Murray Removes ‘Dallas Cowboys’ From Twitter

DeMarco Murray

Although there has been a report suggesting DeMarco Murray could return to the Dallas Cowboys, for now it appears as if the running back is playing hardball.

Multiple teams, like the Jacksonville Jaguars, are said to have interest in signing the Pro Bowl talent and now Murray has removed any trace of the Cowboys franchise from his Twitter profile.

Per Yahoo:

Maybe it’s nothing, maybe it’s everything, but sometime in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray removed the “Cowboys” from his Twitter bio.

For those not versed in the nuances of social media: changing one’s Twitter bio is the 2015 equivalent of changing a resume. Unlike, say, a mistakenly-posted inappropriate photo, you can’t change your bio accidentally, which means Murray, a free agent, is almost surely sending Dallas a message.

It might be nothing, as noted above, though why put the effort into such if you weren’t trying to make a point? Michael Crabtree of the San Francisco 49ers did the same thing earlier this offseason and it’s not expected that Crabtree will be making a return to the Bay Area.

The Dallas Cowboys still want to re-sign DeMarco Murray, but the running back will have to take a ‘hometown discount’ for such to happen.
