Dallas Cowboys Interested In Antonio Cromartie

Dallas Cowboys

Depending on what the Dallas Cowboys do with running back DeMarco Murray (who earlier today removed the franchise from his Twitter) and Dez Bryant, they aren’t going to have a lot of available cash to spend in free agency.

Given that, they’re going to need to be effective at dishing out their funds and may need to take a chance on some former Pro Bowl talent. Case in point, their interest in cornerback Antonio Cromartie.

A former star with the San Diego Chargers, Cromartie has slowly declined during his tenure with the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals though could be had for a relatively fair price. Given that, the Dallas Cowboys are said to have interest.

The Cowboys could use some help in their secondary, though, Antonio Cromartie isn’t going to be a miracle worker by any stretch of the imagination as his name is now bigger than his game. That said, you probably aren’t going to find much better in free agency for the price (again, assuming he does come cheaply) so it’s understandable as to why Jerry Jones and company are interest in the veteran defensive back.
