Look, I’m all for athletes having social media profiles to interact with their fans. Only problem? It’s pretty much impossible to do considering they very rarely get the opportunity and spend most of their time dealing with angry, unhappy and downright cruel people who have nothing more to do than blast them behind a computer.
So while the idea of such is good, the execution isn’t. That’s something Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant knows pretty well as the Pro Bowl football player has ran into trouble with such before.
He’s doing so again, this after getting into a war of words with a New Orleans Saints fan whom he called a ‘fat girl’.
It all started after the Saints fan called Bryant out, suggesting he was ‘corny’ – as if that was some type of horrible insult.
Not to let the woman get away with such, Bryant responded by calling her a ‘fat girl’ as the two exchanged a few more tweets between each other.
Frankly, I can’t really blame Dez Bryant here as it wasn’t the Dallas Cowboys star who started the issue, but rather attempted to finish it. Granted, he should have kept his mouth shut (or fingers away from the keyboard) but you can’t expect him to get trashed and not respond, right?
