Colin Kaepernick Makes Fun Of Houston Floods

Colin Kaepernick

Depending on the day, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick can be a very good football player.

But his talent apparently doesn’t extend off the field into social media because the signal caller often puts his foot in his mouth.

Today was no different as Colin Kaepernick took a shot at not only the Houston Texans, but the city of Houston who is currently dealing with biblical like flooding.

While the former Nevada star took down the Instagram picture, he left up his original Twitter post which understandably took quite a bit of heat and backlash. Kaepernick did say he meant no disrespect with the tweet, but regardless, it was a very stupid move on part of the 49ers star.

Moments later, he took to social media where he apologized for making fun of Houston during the floods.

You’re probably wondering what the heck he was thinking – especially given the serious nature of such. I’ll tell you.

He wasn’t. Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Colin Kaepernick make a poor social media decision, but hopefully it will be the last.

The 49ers and Texans will meet in Houston come the preseason, which is what the quarterback was attempting to suggest with his insensitive tweet.

*update – Colin Kaepernick has indeed removed the Tweet, finally*
