Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And that’s exactly where the Cleveland Browns and NFL stand after Pro Bowl caliber wide receiver Josh Gordon failed yet another drug test, this according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Browns WR Josh Gordon flunked another drug test and now will be subject to a one-year banishment, per league sources. More on ESPN @ 6 pm.

Gordon of course missed the first 12 weeks of the regular season after a suspension related to his previous drug test failure and now faces a one-year ban, if not more. The NFL is likely to come down hard on the wide receiver, especially given his history and you can’t help but wonder if he’s given a multi-year ban or perhaps even stripped from playing in the NFL all together.
If that’s the case, it’s possible he could go play in the Canadian Football League (CFL) though that would take some contractual logistics to occur, likely being released from his Cleveland Browns contract. Of course, given the current situation that doesn’t seem all that far fetched. If anything, the Browns may ask the NFL to terminate his contract for not fulfilling the legal obligations if he is indeed suspended long term or banned from the league.
Yet another bonehead move from an extremely talented player who simply can’t get his head on straight.
