Cleveland Browns To Let Jordan Cameron Become Free Agent?

Jordan Cameron

It wasn’t that long ago when Jordan Cameron looked like the Cleveland Browns tight end of the future. But after multiple injuries (namely concussions), the Pro Bowl talent has fallen on hard times. So hard in fact that he may not be back with the Browns next season.

A free agent, Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland believes Jordan Cameron’s tenure with the Browns is all but over.

There’s no denying that when healthy, Jordan Cameron is one of the better tight end’s in the NFL. Of course, staying healthy has proven to be a challenge for Cameron and the continued head injuries are worrisome for his quality of life after football. Given that, it’s easy to see what the Browns may decide to wash their hands of Cameron, who should possibly start thinking about his life after football as another head injury could be devastating for the tight end.

Still just 26-years-old, Jordan Cameron will be a high quality lottery ticket for any team wanting to take a risk on an injury plagued player with Pro Bowl ability.

As for the Cleveland Browns, assuming they do move on from Cameron, it’s believe that either Gary Barnidge and Jim Dray will handle the starting tight end duties.
