No, Clay Matthews might not be the dominating force he once was, but that doesn’t mean the linebacker isn’t a fan favorite.
And when you do things like this, well, you’ve pretty much etched yourself into the heart of Packers fans across the nation.
That’s because the former Pro Bowl talent decided to surprise a Green Bay Packers fan for Father’s Day and wow, is it dusty in here because my eyes keep watering?
Clay Matthews decided to take time out of his day to meet with Bill Westdyke, a father of four and husband to a wife who was diagnosed with MS 10 years ago.
Put on by Courtyard Hotels, a party was thrown for Westdyke and he was given Super Bowl tickets as a prize, though I’m guessing the highlight of this Packers fans day was when Clay Matthews emerged and sat down with the football fan for a once in a lifetime conversation.
Not only is Clay Matthews awesome on the football field, he’s even better off of it as are many of the Packers as players like Aaron Rodgers have previously done similar things.
Well done, Clay. Well done.
