Browns Attempted Larry Fitzgerald Trade With Cardinals

Man, the Cleveland Browns are all over the map. From getting rid of players to others in rehab (*cough* Johnny Manziel *cough), it’s been a wild few weeks for the organization.

It could have been more crazy had the Browns made a handful of trades, which they allegedly were involved in.

On Sunday it was reported the Browns were the team who offered the Philadelphia Eagles a draft pick in a trade for Sam Bradford and now it’s reported the Browns attempted to trade for Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals before his contract was restructured.

Many assumed Fitzgerald’s tenure with the Cardinals was set to come to an end, but the wide receiver decided to take less money to return ending the Browns pursuit.

I’m not sure what Fitzgerald would have cost the Browns in a trade, though I can’t imagine it would have been much. Given that, he would have been a solid addition considering his sure hands and ability to go across the middle, something that would have helped Manziel or any other quarterback under center.

That said, no deal is getting done now with Larry’s deal now restructured.
