Brett Favre On Packers: Not My Job To Mentor Aaron Rodgers

Brett Favre

When the Green Bay Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers out of Cal, some suggested Brett Favre was a bit salty over the decision considering he felt it was sign his tenure for the organization was coming to an end.

He had every right to believe that, but Rodgers was still a few seasons away from challenging Favre for the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback job. Regardless, their relationship wasn’t exactly of the BFF nature and now Favre says it wasn’t his job to mentor Aaron Rodgers.

Favre made the suggestion during an interview with Graham Bensinger, also stating it wasn’t so much about Rodgers himself as he had no desire to mentor any player.

It’s a bit of a weird sentiment from Favre as he seemingly still attempts to be relevant, though, it doesn’t seem like Aaron Rodgers needed much of Brett’s tutoring regardless.

Not only has he morphed into one of the best (if not the best) quarterback in the NFL, he also doesn’t need to text pictures of his wing ding to hot women since he pulls ladies like Olivia Munn.

All that said, it wasn’t on Brett Favre to mentor Rodgers because he was coming for his job, though his suggestion comes across rather salty.
