The Indianapolis Colts know what they have in quarterback Andrew Luck and have no intentions of letting him hit the free agent market. Given that, it’s been reported that Luck and the Colts are working on a new mega-deal that will keep the signal caller in Indy for quite some time.
More than that, it will also make Andrew Luck the highest paid player in the NFL.
Colts already have been working on parameters of blockbuster mega deal for QB Andrew Luck, per league sources. Could be richest deal in NFL.

Details of the rumored contract have yet to be leaked, though currently Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions owns the biggest deal in NFL history with a 8-year, $132 million dollar contract. Of course, on a near yearly basis a new player often tends to take over the role of being the highest paid player in the league as just a few years ago it was another quarterback, Eli Manning of the New York Giants who held such an honor.
Aaron Rogers of the Green Bay Packers meanwhile makes the largest annual salary in the NFL at $22,000,000 per season – a figure Andrew Luck is likely to eclipse.
