Report: Adrian Peterson Wants To Play For Dallas Cowboys

Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys according to a report.

Chalk this one up in one of the worst keep secrets in pro sports, but Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys.

I know, go ahead and pick your jaw up off the floor, I’ll wait.

Peterson, who is still under contract with the Vikings is said to desire playing in Texas where he of course grew up and rooted for the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones seems to love AP and it seems as if the two sides would make a perfect match, especially if Dallas is unable to retain DeMarco Murray.

Still, the Vikings believe Adrian Peterson has a lot of football left and don’t plan to trade or release the running back so he can sign with the Cowboys.

Of course, there’s no reason for the Vikings to come out and say they want to rid themselves of Peterson and I’d have to assume that if the price is right, they’d certainly entertain the prospect of a trade. What exactly the Cowboys would be willing to offer though is a completely different story.

Given everything that has occurred between Peterson and the Vikings in recent months due to his legal problems, it should be interesting to see how the situation unfolds moving forward.
