Greg Anthony Arrested, Suspended After Allegedly Soliciting Prostitute

It’s going to be a rough weekend for former NBA player and current CBS analyst Greg Anthony after he was arrested for allegedly soliciting a prostitute in Washington D.C. recently.

In town to work the upcoming Michigan State-Maryland game on CBS, Anthony was nabbed by police and now faces upwards of 180 days in jail for the misdemeanor according to WJLA.

Anthony was arrested at 5:46 p.m. on Friday. Saturday, Lt. Kelvin Cusick told The Associated Press that Anthony faces a misdemeanor solicitation charge that’s punishable by up to 180 days in jail.

Greg Anthony was released a few hours after being booked though it appears he might be without a job moving forward as CBS decided to drop the hammer on veteran analyst, suspending him indefinitely.

According to John Ourand, he will not broadcast again for CBS this season.

So not only is he facing jail time, but Greg Anthony may no longer be employed. Talk about a double edged sword.

An 11-year NBA veteran, Greg Anthony played for six teams during his tenure in the league though was most likely known for his successful stints with the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers.
