Wizards’ John Wall Not Interested In Ray Allen Recruiting

John Wall

If Ray Allen is to join the Washington Wizards, it won’t be because of John Wall‘s recruiting tactics because the All-Star doesn’t appear interested in reaching out to the NBA veteran.

Allen, who currently sits home as a free agent, has reportedly shown interest in joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards. LeBron James of the Cavs has already reached out to Allen on multiple occasions though Wall doesn’t feel the need to do so as he’s more worried about those on the Washington Wizards roster.

“No, I’m being focused on just trying to lead my team,” said Wall when asked about recruiting Allen.

All that said, the point guard isn’t opposed to the Wizards signing Allen, in fact he’d be thrilled with such a move.

“I think it would be great, another knockdown shooter and a guy that’s a veteran that knows how to play the game. That’s basically what (he’d) add, a guy that’s won a championship,” said Wall when asked what he thought of the idea. “Two championships.”

While John Wall‘s desire to be focused on the Wizards current roster is understandable, reaching out a hand to Ray Allen probably wouldn’t hurt, especially since the competition is already doing so.

For what it’s worth, the Wizards are said to desire a reunion between Paul Pierce and Allen.
