The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers don’t need any additional bad blood between them since their relationship is icy at best.
But Draymond Green apparently doesn’t care and with the NBA playoffs fast approaching, the Golden State Warriors forward decided to take some shots towards their Western Conference rival.
Both the Warriors and Clippers have spent parts of the last two seasons taking subtle and not-so-subtle shots at each other, both off the court and on. Today is no different with Draymond Green suggesting the Clipps are cocky and haven’t won anything.
“They have a cocky arrogance, like they’ve won something, and they haven’t done nothing,” Green said. “They pretty much been to the same spot in the playoffs we’ve been to. But they have this cockiness like you’re supposed to bow down to them. They ain’t proved nothing. They ain’t earned nothing. What respect have you earned?”
Ironically enough you could probably say something similar about Green and the flashy style of play coming from the Warriors isn’t exactly the most kind-hearted styled of basketball either.
All that said – we can’t wait to see the Clippers and Warriors battle in the playoffs. It’s been quite some time since two franchises have possessed such a distaste for each other, so we can only hope we get such a matchup.
I mean, Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Klay Thompson, Blake Griffin and Draymond Green all going at each other? Yes please.
